Derby entrepreneur outlines expansion plans
Kavita Oberoi, the Derby-based entrepreneur has outlined ambitious expansion plans, including the acquisition of Star 21, a Milton Keynes call-answering company.
Oberoi, who runs the Oberoi Business Hub on Pride Park, also says she is staffing up in Derby and plans to expand out from her serviced offices business offer outbound services and has declared that “serviced offices are the future”.
Oberoi told TheBusinessDesk.com: “We are in the process of looking to expand on Pride Park. Serviced offices are the way forward.
“I’m just completing an acquisition of Star 21 this month which is a call answering company based in Milton Keynes that serves over 150 customers. We really want to increase our outbound services after this acquisition. Increased conferencing and fulfilment are also high on the agenda as well as personal mentoring from myself for business owners.”
The Oberoi Business Hub currently supports more than 200 businesses with back office support for businesses ranging from start-ups to large corporations. Oberoi recently purchased a further 6,000 sq ft of office space.
Oberoi added: “Star 21 has seven staff, whilst at the Hub we have 17 people – with five taken on in the last few months to meet the increase in business.”
She established Oberoi Business Hub in 2012 as a way to support start-ups and SME businesses with a range of extended back office services such as a virtual office address, fulfilment, call answering services, conference room hire, virtual PAs, mentoring as well as serviced offices.
Oberoi added: “The Oberoi Business Hub is more than just being about space, my vision is one of creating a network of businesses that work together and support one another – true entrepreneurial spirit at its finest. Our clients’ success is our success.”
