East Mids law firm “delighted” with profit rise

An East Midlands law firm say it is delighted after seeing turnover and profits rise for the year ending 30 April 2016.

Howes Percival, which is headquarterd in Northampton, but also has an office in Leicester, saw profits rise from £4.8m in 2015 to £5.6m this year.

Meanwhile, turnover rose from £15.8m last year to nearly £16.9 this year.

During the past 12 months, Howes Percival expanded in Cambridge, and the firm says the Northampton office will also move before the end of 2016.

A statement from Howes Percival said: “The board is delighted to report a 7% increase in turnover. The firm’s transactional services continued to develop and flourish, whilst the firm’s expansion into Cambridge provided solid growth in several areas of the practice incuding commercial property, planning, property litigation and corporate.

“The board is pleased with the increasing dept, breadth and integration of services it is able to offer its commercial private clients, and with the spreading of business risk that level of diversification affords them.”

Howes Percival also has offices in Norwich, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Manchester.
