At this exclusive lunch event we’ll ask Jon Perkins, one of the leading lights on the Nottingham restaurant scene, to share his thoughts on where the sector is heading, and whether the city can retain and build on its reputation for fine dining.

Managing director of hospitality businesses Perkins Family and Baresca Tapas Limited, Jon Perkins is responsible for finance, creative design, new site openings and projects.

Jon has opened three venues with co-directors David Perkins and Sarah Newham since taking over the reins of the family business Perkins Bar Bistro in 2002. The first success was developing the derelict former Goods Shed at Plumtree railway station into a leading Midlands’ wedding and events venue, The Carriage Hall.

Taking inspiration from many visits to Barcelona and a passion for ‘tapas culture’, long-standing dreams of launching a tapas business were realised in 2010 with the opening of escabeche in West Bridgford. This success was followed by the launch of baresca in 2015 and there are ambitious growth plans in place for the next five years.

Before entering the world of hospitality Jon was project manager at Rolls-Royce , Airlines division, following completion of a Mech Eng degree at the University of Leeds.

Join us at this exclusive event to get a very unique perspective on where the restaurant sector is heading next.
