Foxes hire first-ever general counsel

Leicester City has finally hired its first ever general counsel, after starting the recruitment process last June.

Caroline McGrory, formerly director of legal and commercial affairs at Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix, will join the Foxes, who were yesterday named as the 20th richest club in the world.

McGrory was previously part of the management team which was involved in the management buy-out from Honda to create the Brawn GP F1 team at the end of 2008.

Before that she was an associate at Charles Russell in London.

McGrorgy will be responsible for all of the Club’s commercial legal work including all media, sponsorship and other commercial contracts, player and player trading contracts, all IP matters, regulatory and governance work, and dispute resolution issues.
