New hair salon for Derby

A new salon, Boulevard, is opening its doors at Derby’s Castleward development this month, in a deal overseen by commercial property consultancy Innes England.

The salon is owned by local hairdresser Katerina Christodoulou, who has years of experience running salons and working as an independent hairdresser. The salon has created five jobs since it opened its doors with the appointment of a barber, two stylists and two beauty therapists.

Boulevard is the first business to open at Castleward and has taken an 850 sq ft unit, one of 13 commercial units located at the development.

Katerina said: “We’re delighted to be the first business to move into this new development. Castleward is an exciting, up and coming area. The amount of footfall the Boulevard attracts is great and, although we have only been open a couple of days, business has been brisk.

“Although the premises look very posh we’ve made sure that our prices are affordable – and a little cheaper than those in the city centre, as this gives customers a reason to venture out to us and give us a try.”
