Derbyshire kitchen equipment manufacturer enters administration

A Derbyshire manufacturer of stainless steel kitchen furniture and equipment has slipped into administration.

Parry Group, which is based in Draycott, has been established since 1945, is run by joint managing directors Gary Rose and Mark Banton.

Parry made a loss in the 12 months to 30 April 2015 of £308,403 to add to a loss of £310,666 in 2014.

In the most recent available company accounts, Rose said the company had experienced “another difficult trading year”. Turnover dropped from £6.3m in 2014 to £5.7m in 2015. The firm also had a pension fund budget of £1.7m as of 30 April 2015. As of that date the firm employed 62 people.

The firm was founded in 1945 as WJ Parry & Co (Nottingham). Wilson Field of Sheffield has been appointed administrators to the company.
