Executive recruitment firm to expand into Nottingham

An abundance of executive-level talent has led a Nottingham-born entrepreneur to move back to the city and set up a new office for his expanding recruitment business.

Scott Parsons, who set up London-based Forsyth Barnes just two years ago in the capital is set to open a Nottingham office on Bridlesmith Walk next week. He will be joined by four staff initially, but wants to double that number by the end of the year.

Forsyth Barnes specialises in placing CEO and CFO level executives in roles that typically pay between £50,000 and £250,000 a year for permanent roles and £500 to £2,000 a day for temporary consultants.

Parsons said: “The decision to move to Nottingham was something that I’d always wanted to do. It’s a great city with an excellent talent pool. We already have clients in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Sheffield and they’re delighted that we’re going to have a dedicated office nearer to them.”

Parsons, who will relocate from the Forsyth Barnes office to work in Nottingham says he has two staff ready to start when the office opens next week, and another two ready to start when their gardening leave ends.

Forsyth Barnes opened its London office two years ago with just two members of staff. It now employs 16 people in its offices on Wharfedale Road in North London.
