Environmental consultantcy Delta-Simons has announced the opening of a Nottingham office.

Delta-Simons, which has offices across England and Ireland, has taken a space in City Gate East on Tollhouse Hill in Nottingham city centre which will accommodate a team of environmental scientists and engineers. The firm has already appointed a number of its Nottingham team but says it will continue to recruit for additional specialist positions.

The Nottingham office will work in conjunction with the firm’s headquarters in Lincoln.

Paul Bennett, unit director for the Midlands region, and lead of the Nottingham team, said: “Delta-Simons’ long term strategy is to grow our existing regional offices and look at opportunities for new locations to further broaden our client base and provide greater geographical coverage.

“As our head office is in Lincoln, we are very familiar with Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the industry here. It’s a dynamic city with an active property and construction agenda and with existing clients and a number of active contracts, opening a Nottingham office was a natural step for us.

“As a team, we are really pleased to have a base in Nottingham. After growing out of other regional offices faster than anticipated, we have taken on a considerable space at City Gate East that will accommodate a year of team growth.

“We are committed to growth in Nottingham and are looking forward to embedding ourselves in the local business community as well as supporting local not for profit initiatives. It’s an exciting time for Delta-Simons.”

Delta Simons, which nationally has a staff of 85, is currently working on education projects in West Bridgfood, Bullwell and central Nottingham as well as leisure, retail and industrial sites in Lowdham, Wollaton, Worksop and Newark.
