IMAX Film Festival comes to Nottingham

Film buffs are set for a treat when the IMAX Film Festival makes its way to Cineworld at The Cornerhouse in April.

Avid filmgoers will be able to enjoy a full day of blockbuster hits, including The Jungle Book, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Fantastic Beasts and Wheer to Find Them and The Martian, with one showing of each throughout the day. The two most popular films will also be given an additional screening either early morning or late evening. All showings will be presented in IMAX 3D.

The special event will take place on Saturday 8 April at Cineworld’s IMAX theatre, located on the top floor of The Cornerhouse.

Suzanne Green, centre manager at The Cornerhouse, said: “Cineworld is always a popular choice for people visiting The Cornerhouse and this investment will ensure it remains a top-quality destination.

“It’s great to see this exciting event return and is a chance to see some hit films and grab a bite to eat at one of our food and drink venues.”

Paul Willden, general manager of Cineworld Nottingham, added: “Following the massive success of the IMAX Film Festival last year, I am thrilled to give film fans the chance to experience the East Midland’s only IMAX screen and reveal our newly refurbished auditorium on that day too.

“With films running from10am to 11:40pm, there’s ample opportunity for everyone to pay us a visit and spend a few hours experiencing everything IMAX has to offer.”
