On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Simon Marsden

Simon Marsden has been appointed as chief executive of Chesterfield-based NLT Training Services.

Marsden has been involved with NLT since 2014 as the vice chairman of the training organisation’s board. He has since resigned the position to take up the role of chief executive.

Marsden comes from a chemical engineering background and has had managing director roles with Oilgear in Leeds, KM Furniture in Chesterfield and, most recently, DarenthMJS in Sheffield.

A former manager at the Queen’s bank Coutts, a customer services expert and an adviser who once stood guard in Whitehall during his time in the Army have joined the ranks of one of the fastest-growing independent mortgage advice companies in the country.

Jason Pulsford, Sarah Freeman and Christopher Bailey have all recently been appointed as mortgage advisors by Finance Advice Centre, which is based in Raynesway, Derby, and serves customers all over the UK.

“We pride ourselves on giving our customers the widest choice of products available and adopting an individual approach to their situations.

“Jason, Sarah and Christopher’s backgrounds are certainly varied, but they understand our approach completely and that awareness is already starting to pay dividends.”
