Boyzone to play Cricket Club

Nineties boyband Boyzone is set to perform at the 3aaa County Ground this September.

Twenty-four years, 25 million record sales, seven hit studio albums, six UK number one singles and hundreds of thousands of ticket sales later; Boyzone are set to perform a hit summer show in Derby ahead of their 25th anniversary in 2018.

The 3aaa County Ground will play host to the band on Saturday 16th September.

Simon Storey, chief executive of Derbyshire County Cricket Club said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Boyzone, one of the most decorated boy bands of all time, to The 3aaa County Ground in September as our second major concert this summer.

“It will be another great community event that will provide Derby with an opportunity to come together, while also attracting thousands of people to the city with all the economic benefits that brings.

“The concert, which is expected to sell quickly, will be a great occasion for the East Midlands and the perfect way to end a special summer for the Club.”

The band themselves said: “We’re really excited to be back out playing live. It’s going to be great to entertain fans for a select number of shows this summer and we can’t wait to treat the East Midlands to what promises to be a superb night at The 3aaa County Ground in Derby.”
