Ashley Walters

During the week, Ashley Walters is a busy chartered development surveyor with regeneration specialist Blueprint – but now does he wind down?

How do you relax at the weekend?
Heading into the city for food and a few drinks with family and friends is probably my favourite way to spend the weekends and if I’m lucky, I might even frequent the greatest club in Nottingham – Rock City, of course.

How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
Preferably none, but there are always exceptions.

What’s your favourite:
– Holiday destination? For clear seas and blue skies, I’ve got to say Mauritius. My favourite city break is Venice for the sheer magic and romance of the place – oh, and also the food.

– Album? I honestly can’t pick one favourite but two absolute classics are MJ’s Thriller and Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland.

– Food? The answer to this will change depending on the day of the week but my go to will always be Italian food. Oscar and Rosies do the best pizza in town in my opinion.

– TV programme? If you’re talking favourite series, then I’ll go with Mad Men. For casual viewing, I like to get emotionally involved with a bit of Location, Location or A Place in the Sun. (Team Phil by the way).

– Website or app? I will almost always go to Instagram first but by far the most useful app on my phone is Memrise which has lots of free language learning courses.

How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
I tend to spend Sunday evenings watching a film or catching up on a bit of TV – definitely nothing too strenuous before work on a Monday.
