East Mids financial services firm changes name

The Russell Ulyatt Group of Companies, a Midlands based group of financial services companies with offices in Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield, has changed its name to The RU Group.

The RU Group consists of two Nottingham based companies, Russell Ulyatt Financial Services and Greenhalgh Financial Services, along with Derby-based Shevill Parkes Financial Services and Sheffield based Hart Shaw Financial Planning.

Ian Browne, head of advice at the RU Group, said: “Being known as The RU Group will enable us to deliver a clear consistent message about our business and services. It will act as the cornerstone for ongoing branding activity, including our new website, and will help facilitate further growth. And it’s certainly easier to pronounce!”

The RU Group employs over 50 people across the Midlands and the firm says this number will grow over the course of the rest of the year.

Browne added: “The launch of The RU Group is designed to help deliver a more efficient and improved service to our clients, old and new. It’s part of a strategy which has seen the CRM and administrative systems of the four companies merge, new branding take place and a strategy for growth implemented. We know that our clients will benefit from our more streamlined group structure and the wealth of experience we have on board.”
