FHP completes £4.5m Leicester sale to mystery buyer

Two industrial buildings in Leicester have been sold in a deal worth nearly £4.5m.

Acting on behalf of landlord Mark’s Electrical, Tim Gilbertson of FHP sold the 40,000 Unit 1 and 20,000 sq ft Unit 2 buildings on the Elland Road industrial estate in Leicester to an undisclosed buyer.

Tim Gilbertson said: “When long term client, Mark Smithson, rang me up towards the end of 2016 to tell me he was moving it came as quite a shock. Having only sold his former premises in Bardon, a variety of warehouse space some 18 months previously, the success of his business dictated a move to larger premises still and therefore he needed a sale of his two new buildings in Leicester on Elland Road completing quickly and at the best price possible.”

“His instructions were crystal clear and it was again a pleasure to deliver two quick sales for Mark to enable his further expansion and relocation to run through smoothly, with the sale of both buildings completing less than five months from the commencement of marketing.”

Smithson said: “Once again Tim at FHP has come up trumps, he managed last time to sell four warehouses at Bardon Hill in a short time frame and this time he managed to sell two warehouses in a tighter time frame still. Without his expertise the deal probably wouldn’t have completed.”
