Leicester industrial unit snapped up by playground company
A company that designs and installs children’s playground equipment has bought an industrial unit in Leicester.
Playground Projects as agreed a five-year lease for Unit 5, Cornwall Road, South Wigston, in a deal brokered by LSH.
Playground Projects took the 6,773 sq ft Unit 5 so that it could consolidate its business, moving everything from its four units across Leicestershire into one place.
Martyn Hubbard, director of Playground Projects, said: “We are delighted to have found this unit and we are hoping it will enable the business to go to the next level. LSH were great to deal with and helpful at every stage.”
Ben Silcock, surveyor at LSH Nottingham, said: “There is a particular shortage of industrial stock under 10,000 sq ft, which explains the high interest in the unit.
“Because of the level of competition, we achieved the asking rental price of £24,000 a year, which is good news for the landlord.
“It’s well located, just south of the outer ring road and less than four miles from junction 21 of the M1 and M69, and also in good condition so it was no surprise to receive so many enquiries about it.”
