Bank moves 50 staff back to Leicester city centre

NatWest is due to move its SME banking operations back to Leicester city centre on Monday, July 31.

The bank’s local teams which support the bank’s Corporate and Commercial and Business Banking customers as well as teams from Lombard Asset Finance, Royal Bank of Scotland Invoice Finance and international specialists will move into premises at 1 Granby Street – above NatWest’s Leicester city centre branch.

Around 50 staff will be moved as part of the programme. The teams have been based at Grove Park for 10 years.

Jon Wall, director of commercial banking at NatWest Leicestershire and Rutland, said: “We are delighted to be based in Leicester city centre as we will be closer to many of our customers who are already based here as well as the wider business and professional community. Working closer to our personal banking teams is also a benefit to our customers as we will be able to provide a range of banking services on site to meet their needs.”
