Andy Middleton

Andy Middleton, director and co-founder of Nottingham-based creative agency and printer, Ginger Root on how he unwinds at the weekend.

How do you relax at the weekend?
Weekends are usually spent running around after the children with a healthy dose of visiting the gym, going for a swim and relaxing in the sauna and steam room. I also like to eat out, experiencing different world cuisines.

How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
I like to be ‘up to date’ before going back in to work on a Monday, so somewhere between 1-4 hours can be amassed at weekends. I’d rather do this than have Monday madness!

What’s your favourite:
– holiday destination? My favourite holiday destination is always the next one! I love going abroad and have been to lots of European destinations, my favourite being Barcelona. I went in January so I’d like to go back in summer and get to use the beach this time.
– book? The E-Myth Revisited. It’s a self-improvement book about correctly setting up business. The lessons are huge yet very easy to implement. I would suggest every business owner read this book.
– album? George Michael – Listen without Prejudice – and oldie but goldie!
– food? I love a great Chinese although the next restaurant on my list to try is Sat Bains.
– TV programme? At the moment, I’m watching the box set of Breaking Bad and loving it, so doing 2-3 episodes a night. All will be pushed aside once Game of Thrones comes back on though! Also liking Peter Kay’s Car Share.
– website or app? Empire as I’m a big film fan. I love to read about and watch clips of the latest movies.

How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
Chilling out watching TV or a movie at home.
