On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Louise Carrington

Louise Carrington has moved from RSM to Bridgewood to become the firm’s new insolvency practitioner.

Carrington started her career at P&A in Sheffield before spending nine years at RSM where she was promoted to associate director.

She said: “I was attracted to Bridgewood as they are a growing insolvency firm locally and are well-known for being friendly, approachable and pragmatic. They offer a much more personal service to clients and assist both individuals and companies in financial difficulty. They have an excellent team who bring experience from many large competitor firms, so there is a lot of combined knowledge.

“I thought it was perfect for me to build on my experience and skillset in a successful growing environment and I’m looking forward to continuing my professional development under the Bridgewood brand.”

Nicola Rooney, an architectural Design graduate from the Isle of Man, has joined Northampton-based Fusion Building Systems‘ design team.

She becomes the firm’s technical designer.

Rooney said: “From a young age I remember being fascinated in the design and operation of buildings. At 16 I completed work experience for an infrastructure business and knew then, this was the career path I wanted to follow. Through my A-levels and then into my degree I was able to learn more about model-making, technical drawing and build my knowledge of different software programmes such as AutoCAD, Revit and BIM. Now I feel lucky to be working in a design role at Fusion with so many experienced people around me.”

Robert Clark, Fusion head of business development, added: “Nicola is a very capable young designer who I hope will enjoy a long and successful career with us. She’s also one of a growing number of individuals at Fusion who are passionate about the future of offsite construction. We’re capturing this enthusiasm and applying it to our conversations with industry peers, as we look to develop training modules and change mind-sets around modern methods of construction – ultimately to deliver a future for UK construction with has offsite manufacturing at its core.”
