Notts speculative industrial development nears completion

A new speculative development by Rushcliffe Borough Council of 15 industrial units is close to completion.

Construction of the Hollygate 46 scheme in Cotgrave was started in November 2016 by developer Wilson Bowden. The development includes 15 units ranging from 750 – 1,750 sq ft, which have the consent for B1 & B8 use.

Mark Tomlinson, director of FHP Property Consultants, said: “We have been crying out for new industrial stock for local growing businesses who have become increasingly frustrated by property issues stifling their growth.”

“This scheme was specifically planned with small and medium sized businesses in mind which is one of the major growth sectors in our economy. I am not as all surprised that we have generated such a strong interest which I am hoping will see these businesses expanding and taking on new staff.”

Chris Proctor of FHP who has brokered a number of the deals added: “These are the best small industrial units within the Nottingham market and are already showing signs of success. It is great to see a speculative scheme that will push rents and create employment for the local area.

“Rushcliffe Borough Council have been pro-active with the decision making and legal information for proposed tenants. Due to this support, we already have nine of the 15 units reserved and have a number of further interested parties.”
