“Very good year” for Derby tech firm

Computer graphics and digital display specialist Datapath has had what it is calling “a very good year” after its latest accounts revealed a spike in both profit and turnover.

Profits at the firm rose from £5.4m last year to £6.4m for the year-ending 31 March, while turnover rose from £20.6m to £24.5m.

The figures come at the end a year in which Datapath bought California software firm Mosaiqq, and says the outlook for next year is more growth and “continuous investment in research and development.

Datapath employs 88 people in Derby and has offices in China, France, Japan and the US.
