Derbyshire laser cutting firm posts record turnover

Draycott precision laser cutting specialist FC Laser saw its customer activity grow by 20 per cent last month, which led to the company achieving its highest ever monthly turnover.

FC Laser, which is celebrating five years in business this year, puts this record level of business down to two factors – the company is attracting high levels of new business while retaining existing customers through its commitment to the best service standards in the industry.

In the last 12 months FC Laser says it has experienced growth of 30 per cent, making this recent level of activity represents a significant development for the business. The firm says that part of the reason for the growth can be put down to the appointment of a dedicated business and service development manager, Elle Miller, whose role involves travelling around the country liaising with existing customers and potential clients.

Says FC Laser’s general manager Steve Connolly, said: “It is absolutely essential in our industry to retain highly valued customers, which is why we have embraced customer service as an ethos and not just seen it as a department in the company. Our impressive growth cannot be achieved or sustained through continually winning new business. That’s great, of course, but genuine, tangible growth comes through a combination of customer retention and gaining new clients who will also go on to stay with us for the long-term.”

FC Laser’s managing director Danny Fantom added: “Everyone in the company is always thinking about customer service and how we can improve it – and then improve it again. On top of this, having a full-time person in a business and service development manager role has paid real dividends and underlined to our customers just how seriously we take their level of satisfaction with the services that we offer.”

Fantom added: “We are absolutely delighted with the 20 per cent increase in customer activity that we saw last month and with achieving our highest ever monthly turnover but we will not rest on our laurels and will keep pushing to improve our customer service even further. The FC Laser name is synonymous with quality and that runs throughout the entire business.”
