Developer plans Meadow Lane mixed-use scheme

A Birmingham developer has submitted a planning application to build 95 homes in the Meadow Lane area of Nottingham.

Elevate wants to demolish the buildings currently covering the site and build the Trent Bridge Quays scheme – a range of 3-storey townhouses, along with 4,144 sq ft of retail and cafe space.

The new application is an amendment to a previous application put forward in 2015. The site runs on the south side of Meadow Lane and is sandwiched between Lady Bay Bridge, Nottingham – Beeston Canal and the River Trent.

A design and access statement with the planning application states: “The proposal will improve the general design of the area and set a precedent for future development within the Waterside Regeneration Zone. It is also considered that the proposed development offers the opportunity to improve the Meadow Lane street scene.”

The agents on the scheme are FHP Waterside Living.
