East Midlands dealmakers secure sale of Tamworth workwear firm

An East Midlands team of dealmakers has worked together to complete the sale of an historic Tamworth workwear specialist.

Wearwell Group, esigners and manufacturers of technical workwear, has been sold Richard Wright in a deal advised on by the corporate finance division of Midlands based accountancy and business advisory firm, Smith Cooper.

The transaction was also advised on by the Nottingham office of Geldards.

With significant manufacturing capability in the UK, Wearwell was established in 1939.

Smith Cooper’s Corporate Finance division was appointed to provide full sale process management services to the sellers during the transaction. This included marketing, buyer identification, negotiation and process management.

Smith Cooper secured a sale of the business to Richard Wright, an ex-vice president of Kwintet, an international workwear supplier. Wright was supported by private equity firm Rockpool investments.
