Amy Bidell

A Leicestershire freehold development site which has been earmarked for housing is up for sale.

The 0.43 acre site, which is located on the corner of Main Street and Smithy Lane in the Leicestershire village of Long Whatton, has been granted outline planning permission by North West Leicestershire District Council for the erection of up to four dwellings with associated access, parking and landscaping.

Permission has also been granted for the demolition of an existing bungalow and outbuildings at the site to make way for the new homes.

Amy Biddell, associate director of agents Mather Jamie, said: “This is a rare chance to acquire a well located development site in the village of Long Whatton, with planning for much-needed residential dwellings for the area.

“With excellent road links to Junctions 23 and 23a of the M1, East Midlands Airport and other major routes, and being close to Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough, this site would be an excellent investment for the right buyer.”
