Former Grant Thornton duo launch new practice

A pair of former Grant Thornton employees have launched a new wealth protection and probate business in Leicestershire

Mellon Rose will work exclusively with individuals, trustees and personal representatives to provide tax, trust and probate services.

Kari Mellon and Rhoda Cooper have co-founded the business bringing together their individual practices.

Mellon Rose will also be able to draft wills and lasting powers of attorney, in addition to providing tax, trust and probate services.

Cooper said: “We have been authorised by the ICAEW to provide non-contentious probate services and we are one of only a few accountancy firms in Leicestershire who have obtained such authorisation. A large part of the estate administration service involves accounting and tax advice and by Kari and I coming together, we are able to offer this under one roof.”

The pair previously worked together at Grant Thornton’s Leicester office and have over 25 years’ experience in advising individuals and trustees.
