5 things to do in the East Midlands this weekend

Rock and Roll exhibition launches
Castle Fine Art in Derby launches a rock and roll exhibition this weekend. The gallery will become home to work from a whole host of musical icons, including Bob Dylan and Ronnie Wood. There will also be work from contemporary artists Temper and Simon Claridge. Find out more here.

Festival of Food and Drink
Clumber Park will be hosts to a food and drink festival this weekend. Taking place from 10am-5pm both days, the event will offer a whole host of dishes from exciting traders. The festival will also be home to street food, pop up’s, bars, cocktails and much more. Sunset Boulevard
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard takes to the stage at Leicester’s Curve Theatre this weekend. The show follows the compelling story of romance and obsession. Norma Desmond lives in a fantasy world. Screen writer Joe Gillis is on the run from debt collectors, until he works with Norma. The Major Oak Woodland Festival
Sherwood Forest will be home to the Major Oak Woodland Festival this weekend. The festival celebrates the history of the great British woodland and will feature demonstrations and displays across the weekend. Broadfest 2017
Broad Street in Nottingham is getting taken over for its second year. Seven venues are taking part in the event that will bring music to the streets for one night only. There will also be live art and entertainment, clothing stalls, food stalls and much more. Find out more here.
