East Midlands logistics firm merges with German counterpart

An East Midlands logistics firm as merged with a German rival in a deal assisted by Springboard Corporate Finance.

Carousel, which is based at Sherwood Park, has merged with LSi Logistik which operates out of Munich.

Carousel was established in 1986 and is part of the Livingbridge group of companies.

Graham Martin, chief executive at Carousel said: “This announcement is the perfect coming together of two companies and one that is incredibly timely given the recent changes to the European landscape.

“As individual companies, we each offer personalised solutions with a passion for excellence.

“We both start with our customers and work back from there to ensure we create the very best logistics solutions possible, and with such synergies it seemed only natural that the two companies should become one.

“During our time working together we have found that separately we’re great, but together we’re even better, so this merger is all about offering our clients even better solutions and more opportunities than ever before.”

Springboard partner Simon Ward and manager Matthew Guest advised Carousel on the merger.

Ward said: “We have been supporting Carousel for some time in finding the right European partner.

“We are delighted to have completed the merger with LSi. The strategic and cultural fit between the businesses is outstanding.”
