A Derbyshire plastics firm has unveiled a new 178,000 sq ft buildig that it says means it is the most integrated site in the country.

HL Plastics, based in Denby, has built Liniar House, named after its brand of windows, doors and conservatories, as its new warehouse, training centre and showrooms. The firm designs and manufactures PVCu extrusions and was established 43 years ago.

Chief executive Roger Hartshorn said: ““Liniar House will take customer relations to a new level. I am confident the strength of HL and its staff will continue to thrive with the facilities and culture we have created.

“HL Plastics now has the most integrated, well invested single site PVCu facility in the UK.”

Lord Digby Jones officially opened the new facility before customers and staff were given guided tours.

Charlotte Davies, head of marketing for Edgetech UK, said: “The new facility is impressive and the large showrooms are a great addition as it’s good to be able to experience the current range as well as reflect on how far the company has progressed over the years.

“The tour impressed upon me the attention to detail and pride that everyone at HL takes in what they do and it made me proud to be part of the same group as such a market-leading company.”
