Nottingham law firm makes double heavyweight hire

Potter Clarkson's dispute resolution and commercial team

Nottingham-based Potter Clarkson has expanded its dispute resolution and commercial team with two heavyweight appointments.

Mark Snelgrove has joined as partner in the firm. With more than 30 years’ experience, Snelgrove practices in the field of IP law, particularly in relation to contract drafting and negotiation. He has also carved out a niche in technology transfer and brand protection and acts for a number of luxury goods brands and major fashion labels.

Holly Mitchell also joins the firm from Eversheds Sutherland as an associate. Having qualified in 2011, Mitchell has spent the past five years advising a wide variety of clients, from multi-national corporates to small businesses, as well as many public-sector institutions. She specialises solely in IP and is experienced in providing advice both on litigation and commercial issues.

Managing partner and chairman of the management board at Potter Clarkson, Colin Baker, said:
“We have a stellar dispute resolution and commercial offering at Potter Clarkson and clients have been swift to recognise the comprehensive expertise we have brought together under one roof. This is why the team is going from strength to strength. Not only do we bring together decades of IP expertise, but we combine it with genuine specialist knowledge in our clients’ field of business.

“With Holly and Mark joining the team, we add further weight to our offering and are increasingly advising clients on the most complex and challenging matters.”
