On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Leicestershire-based accountancy firm Newby Castleman has appointed Jacquelyn Kimber as a business tax partner.

Kimber, who will be based at Newby Castleman’s Leicester office, was formerly a business tax partner with Moore Stephens in London.

She said: “I started my professional career in Leicester, before moving to Birmingham and then spending 15 years working in London. I am delighted to be returning to work in my home city as a partner with Newby Castleman, and I am very much looking forward to bringing my expertise to the firm’s extensive client base.”

Chris Castleman, managing partner at Newby Castleman, said: “Jacquelyn’s appointment is an exciting step forward for the business. She brings with her a vast amount of expertise in a diverse range of business tax subjects, along with a conscientious and client-oriented approach. Langleys Solicitors has appointed business development director Dave Clarkson as it looks to enter the UK’s top

100 law firms.

Clarkson joins Langleys from accountancy firm Armstrong Watson where he held a similar position for seven years.

Langleys employs more than 340 people at its offices in Lincoln and York. It has a turnover in excess of £20m.

Clarkson has more than 20 years’ experience in advertising and marketing, developing national and regional campaigns, before he moved into corporate professional services.

Clarkson, who joins the senior leadership team at Langleys, said: “My role is to articulate the quality, knowledge and experience of Langleys to a wider audience as part of the firm’s business growth strategy and ambition to break through the Top 100.”
