Creative agency, The Dairy, has moved to larger premises in West Bridgford.

The Dairy began life in 2002 in what was previously the milking parlour of managing director Nigel Rowlson’s former business partner’s farmhouse home.

Since then, there has been a move to offices in Old Basford – growth which saw the team become eight members at peak, before the recession hit, leaving The Dairy a two-man operation after several clients in the construction industry going out of business owing the agency sizeable sums.

“2008 was undoubtedly a tough year, but we hunkered down, worked on a model of employing freelancers as and when needed, and managed to weather the storm to survive the next few years when many similar Nottingham agencies went under,” said Rowlson.

In 2014, The Dairy began to rebuild its internal resources – adding PR and social media specialist Fiona Geeson to the team, quickly followed by video expert and project manager, Verena Batchelor.

“Since Fiona and Verena joined the team, our offering has gone from strength to strength and this year has been one of our most successful years in business to date,” says Rowlson.

He added: “We now have seven members of staff who have excellent skills and experience in marketing, design, PR, social media, copywriting, web and video, and we’ve seen a surge in companies requiring our services as a result.”

The Dairy has clients such as Notts County FC, Motorpoint and Gala Bingo and was also a finalist in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category at this year’s East Midlands Chamber awards for its work with Nottingham Trent University.

“It soon became apparent this year that we had outgrown the West Bridgford offices we originally downsized to from Old Basford, so we were delighted to find new bigger premises still within Bridgford but with the added bonus of on-site parking,” said Rowlson.

The firm has moved to a Victorian villa on Millicent Road, near from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.

Rowlson said: “I am absolutely thrilled with how The Dairy has grown in 2017 – our 15th year in business – and it’s testament to the fantastic team we have in place now. A business such as ours is only as strong as its people, and thankfully The Dairy is made up of experienced, dedicated, creative individuals who deliver fresh ideas to our clients every day.”
