M69 closed in both directions in Leicestershire

The M69 in Leicestershire is currently closed in both directions between J1 and the M1, while Highway England assists police and emergency services with a serious collision.

There are diversion route in place and northbound traffic should exit the M69 at J1 and take the 3rd exit onto the A5 south/eastbound. Continue to the A5/A4303 Cross in Hand Roundabout and then take the 1st exit onto the A4303 eastbound. Continue eastbound to the A5/A426 Lutterworth Road/Rugby Road roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and continue straight to join the M1 at J20.

Southbound traffic should exit the M1 at J20 and take the 3rd exit onto the A4303 westbound. Continue to the A4303/A426 Lutterworth Road/Rugby Road Roundabout and the then take the 2nd exit to continue on the A4303 westbound. At the A5/A4303 Cross in Hand Roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A5 Waitling Street and continue to re-join the M69.
