Notts piling firm opens Welsh office

Notts firm Universal Piling and Construction (UPAC) is set to open a new office in Wales.

The new base in Abercynon will be part of the firm’s Resource Solutions division and will offer construction resources including site management, safety critical, setting out/site engineers, joiners, labourers, groundworkers, steel fixers and other skilled labour.

“There has been a large investment in the infrastructure in this area of the British Isles, which creates the need for increased labour around such projects as the Great Western Electrification Project,” said Richard Lowe, group managing director, Universal Piling and Construction.

He added: “With this demand it seemed the right time to expand our UPAC Resource Solutions into Wales as part of our growth programme.

The firm says resource solutions has been an area of consistent growth, alongside the other core offerings of sub structure piled solutions, full earthworks, groundworks packages and plant hire.
