Innes England gets tops marks for cyber security

Tim Garratt

Commercial property agency Innes England has been recognised for its commitment to preventing cyber attacks.

The East Midlands firm – which has offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby – has achieved national Cyber Essentials accreditation.

The industry and government recognised certification scheme helps businesses minimise the risk of a cyber attack and demonstrates they are taking the measures needed to protect themselves and their client data.

To secure the certification Innes England was measured against five key controls that, when implemented correctly, can prevent around 80% of cyber attacks.

Tim Garratt, managing director at Innes England, said: “I am really proud Innes England has been recognised for our commitment to our customers’ confidentiality by being awarded the Cyber Essentials accreditation.

“Customer details are valuable to cyber criminals and it is fantastic we are able to show how seriously we take our customers’ data. It is important for businesses to take basic precautionary measures to protect themselves against cyber criminals who are looking for vulnerabilities.”
