On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Roythornes Solicitors has appointed a private client specialist to lead its Nottingham-based team.

Paul Thompson is now a partner at the firm and brings with him more than two decades’ experience in the private client sector, specialising areas such as capital taxes, trusts, wills and estates, and providing advice to charities and trustees.

Roythornes’ managing director Vember Mortlock said: “Paul is an expert in a number of key areas in which we specialise, including tax matters and succession planning. This is particularly important for landowners who form a large part of our client base.

“To employ such a well-respected and renowned specialist within the private client sector is a strong reflection of our ambition to develop the business and the importance that we place on this type of work. I am delighted to welcome Paul to the team.”

Frontline Recruitment has expanded its Permanent division at its Derby branch.

The company, which has offices across Derby, Mansfield, Leicester and Nottingham, has added to its numbers and revealed that Emma Marshall has joined Karen Barker, business manager, and her Derby team.

Marshall brings over 10 years’ experience working in the sales industry. She spent seven years working for an estate agency, where she worked her way up through the ranks before becoming area manager responsible for four branches.

She decided to make a career change and enter the world of recruitment where she has been very successful placing permanent and temporary candidates working with well known companies in the UK for the past four years.

Marshall said: “I made the decision to join Frontline after meeting Dave Essam, general manager, and Karen Barker, business manager, as their vision and plans for the development of the company was second to none.
