Prague spring as Notts manufacturer reveals 90,000 sq ft Czech factory

Nottingham springs manufacturer Advanex is set to open a 90,000 sq ft factory in he Czech Republic.

The new factory will employ 60 people on CT Park at Prague Airport.

The new factory comes as part of Advanex’s growth plans to increas turnover to over £30m.

The new factory will be largely focused on manufacturing deep drawn, microsprings and plastic over moulding components. These components will be targeted at new and existing markets which will include automotive, aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, office automation, transport and construction.

Steve Antcliff, director for Advanex Czech Republic, said: “We are proud to be launching our new factory as part of our five-year, multi-million pound investment strategy to grow the business. Czech Republic is an excellent location for us with a growing economy, highly skilled labour market and well-developed infrastructure.

“CT Park will give us great access to our customer base and will provide an effective distribution network across the globe. We are confident that our years of expertise in designing and manufacturing components can add significant value to OEM’s and other manufacturers.”

Advanex is based at Southwell and has a facility at Bilborough. Globally, Advanex has operations in 23 countries including the United Kingdom, Japan, China, America and Thailand.
