Lincoln construction firm secures new contracts worth more than £4m
Lincoln-based construction firm Minster Surfacing has been awarded several new contracts in the past month worth a combined £4m to the firm.
The deals, which include £1m to repair the runways at two MOD bases and £2.5m to fix and maintain Lincolnshire’s roads, are the latest new business wins for Minster, where sales have grown by 50% in the last three years.
Its work for the MOD involves the replacement of almost half a kilometer of high-performance drainage for the armed services at RAF Brize Norton.
Meanwhile its latest local authority contract in Lincolnshire will see Minster’s workforce maintaining the region’s roads until at least 2019, offering a 365-day, 24/7 emergency response team through the Highways Alliance via Kier Group.

Founded 18 years ago, Minster Surfacing now employs 40 people and turns over more than £8m a year. It counts The Highways Agency, Highways England, Kier & CarillionAmey among its customers.
It has worked with the MOD since 2007 and last year opened its new 3-acre headquarters in Lincoln, just past the Showground off the A15.
