East Mids energy consultant teams up with JoJo Maman Bébé

Lincolnshire environmental and energy consultant, Blue Castle Group, has been appointed by leading baby, kids, maternity and nursing clothing retailer JoJo Maman Bébé.

JoJo Maman Bébé, which has a store in Nottingham city centre and has recently opened a new store in West Bridgford, was founded by Laura Tenison in 1993 and now has over 85 outlets in the UK.

The firm employs over 850 employees in the UK and 2,000 indirectly around the world.

As part the ongoing quest to achieve zero waste to landfill, the company, which is already a Certified B CorporationTM, approached Blue Castle Group, based in Long Bennington for advice on how it could further improve their waste recycling strategies.

Blue Castle Group commercial director, David Brighton, visited the JoJo Maman Bébé warehouse to carry out a site audit and could recommend many waste recycling initiatives that will help the company become more environmentally efficient, as well as being cost effective.

JoJo Maman Bébé have recently rolled out a UK wide strategy supported by Blue Castle Group that allows the company to work towards a zero waste to landfill initiative at all its 85+ UK stores. New waste handling equipment has been installed at the Newport warehouse allowing waste streams to be turned into a resource. All UK stores have had special containers provided by Blue Castle Group, including recycling containers to provide recycling at source.
