Nottingham recruitment firm expands with new division

Aynsley Buggy

Nottingham-based Distinct Recruitment has appointed Aynsley Buggy as head of its new tech recruitment division.

Buggy previously worked as a managing consultant for Macildowie, having started his career with the Sthree group.

Distinct Recruitment, led by CEO James Calder and Director Arran Jaiswal, is turning its sights on the software and web technology recruitment marketplace.

Calder said: “We’re delighted to welcome Aynsley on-board. He fits in perfectly with the culture at Distinct. We are growing quickly but sustainably, and Aynsley’s appointment marks the latest step on what my co-founders and I hope will be a long and exciting journey. It feels great to be able to bring a technology focused expert like Aynsley to the region. Customers (candidates and clients) have been desiring local expertise on this market from us and we are thrilled to be in a position to meet their expectations”.

He added: “We’re no strangers to the online and digital world – our Marketing Division has been the highest performing business segment since our inception and has supported some huge brands with everything from the development and implementation of company-wide digital strategies to e-commerce business model transformation. We’ve also helped a large number of firms appoint specialists in SEO, PPC and social media.

“We’re really pleased to be moving into this complimentary area with our new Tech division, which will thrive under Aynsley’s stewardship”.

Distinct Recruitment says it has now appointed a new member of staff for every month that it has been in business since setting up in early 2016.

Buggy said: “I am thrilled to join such a dynamic and high growth business. What we are building at Distinct is special and certainly uncompromising in terms of ways of working, internal technology and the talent within the business. It was clear from my very first meeting with James and Arran that our strategic visions dovetailed and that their appetite to develop this new offering was strong. I’m looking forward to playing a big part in Distinct’s growth for years to come and taking our new proposition out to the local customer base”

He added: “This is the perfect time to expand the Distinct offering, with current customers crying out for high local service levels from a recognised brand who can support them with everything from software product development through to driving traffic on e-commerce through web technologies. Our new division will do just that.

“Locally the tech market is booming, with big companies such as Capital One, Next and Experian exploiting the value that Digital and Online technology can provide within their vertical markets. The region also has a large number of high growth tech-driven SMEs, and a wealth of Agency-side organisations have been attracted to the city due to its rich talent pool and booming digital tech scene. The race is on to secure the best talent, and we will position ourselves to add value from the get go”.
