Manufacturer moves to 36,000 sq ft production facility in Ashby

TruNet (UK), the manufacturer of has taken a 36,000 sq ft storage and production facility on CWC’s Ivanhoe Business Park at Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Stuart Revill, managing director of TruNet, said: “This is a very exciting new acquisition for us. The new resources within this building will provide a centre of excellence for our technical team to produce unique products to our customers’ individual specifications.

He added: “As a company, we are committed to continual investment and with our multiple manufacturing sites across the globe, including this exciting new facility, we continue to maintain our position as the world’s number one manufacturer of netting, loops and twines.”

James Richards, development director of CWC Group, said: “We were delighted to facilitate TruNet’s relocation to Ivanhoe Business Park, a further high calibre occupier added to our ever-expanding business park.

“Given the specific requirements that TruNet had, a design and build or build to suit solution seemed to be the only route forward and it was great to deliver a building meeting the exacting requirements of TruNet and deliver to them a fantastic facility.

The deal was brokered by Tim Gilberston at FHP Property Consultants.

He said: “My client and I first went to see TruNet some time ago when they were faced with a difficult decision. Having outgrown their site in Measham they needed to relocate to a bespoke facility and in doing so that relocation had to be within an acceptable travel distance, to ensure their valued staff stayed with the company, in order to ensure a seamless transition to a new site.

“This challenge was exacerbated by their very specific building layout requirements which effectively precluded them from taking an existing building.

“Ivanhoe Business Park was a location within their compass and one where a bespoke layout and property could be constructed, and so this seemed like a marriage made in heaven.”
