On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Timico, the Newark cloud service provider, has appointed Kevin Linsell as chief technology officer.

Prior to joining Timico, Linsell held senior director roles at Computacenter Group, Datapipe Europe and Adapt Services.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Timico at such an exciting and important time as it embarks on a new era of growth. I have a passion for technology and the role it can play in an organisation’s success. Working with an exceptional team I intend to deliver a compelling, market leading proposition and roadmap for Timico as a leading provider of cloud technology, transformation programmes and outstanding customer service.”

DBS Energy, the Market Harborough battery distributor, has appointed Alex Beesley as its new golf sales manager.

Beesley brings over 10 years’ experience to his new role and will be responsible for growing business for the

company’s range of lead acid and lithium batteries for golfers using electric golf trolleys and buggies.

He will target golf shops, national retailers and distributors, buying groups and online trade accounts, with the aim of doubling the company’s business from the golf market within 18 months.

Beesley said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to bring my experience and golf industry contacts to DBS Energy. We’ve seen a transitional change in the golf trolley market with the majority of customers now favouring a Lithium battery. Part of my new role will be to increase brand awareness of our RELiON range of Lithium batteries – the safest and most efficient battery on the market for golfers.”
