A new hair salon with a twist is due to open on King Street, Nottingham, on 18th November called DNA Art Space.

Local law firm Fraser Brown helped secure the lease for the 3,000 sq ft premises on King Street, which will feature a unique creative space and communal area for coffee and tea, open to the public.

Nottingham-based award-winning hair stylists Angelo Vallillo and Dale Hern, owners of DNA Art Space, have over 12 years of experience in the industry.

Angelo Vallillo, said: “Nottingham is home to a lot of quirky and cool businesses and we wanted to add to that. DNA Art Space will be a creative space, not a normal salon and we aim to make this premises feel homely so that people can pop in for a coffee or a break if they’re in town, they don’t have to just come in for a haircut.

“Our passion is creating beautiful hair and we plan to deliver this at affordable prices. We also aim to inspire and attract hairdressers and to encourage young and older people to get involved with hairdressing.

“I’d like to thank Natalie Gibbons from the Fraser Brown team for helping us secure this lease, she had our best interests at heart and made us feel relaxed and supported throughout the whole process, the results have been amazing.”

DNA Art Space will bring 20 new jobs, including receptionist, hair stylist, hair colourist and other roles. Angelo and Dale plan to invest in staff and training, with each new addition due to have the highest standard of hairdressing education.

Natalie Gibbons, a senior associate in the commercial property team at Fraser Brown Solicitors, helped secure the lease for the DNA Art Space premises.

Natalie said: “DNA Art Space is a unique new addition to the city which will provide more options for the local community, and I am really looking forward to the opening, which I believe will have a fantastic reception from the public.

“Dale and Angelo are very passionate about this project and have been a pleasure to work with. I look forward to seeing the completed space and I’d like to wish them the best of luck with the opening of their first salon.”
