15 jobs lost as Nottingham furniture maker goes under

A Nottingham furniture company has ceased trading, with 15 jobs lost.

MMS Furniture, which was based on Radford Road in Nottingham, called in administrators from PKF Cooper Parry on 13 November. Some 13 employees and two directors were made redundant.

Tyrone Courtman and Lee Brocklehurst were appointed joint administrators.

A spokesperson from PKF Cooper Parry told TheBusinessDesk.com: “The company was unprofitable and needed additional investment to see it through a period of low orders and the Christmas period. The founding shareholders were no longer prepared to invest further fun.

“No sale of the business is being pursued and it has been closed.”

The firm had been trading for two years.
