Lincoln HR firm changes name

The Amica team

Just six weeks after relocating, a fast-growing Lincoln-based HR firm has changed its name, recruited another member of staff and expanded its services.

Amica HR is the new name of B&G HR – which recently moved from its old office on the Bishop Grosseteste University campus to The Think Tank in Ruston Way, Lincoln.

The firm says it has experiened a “significant” rise in demand for its services over the past 18 months and a tripling of its turnover in 2016/17.

Director David Grech said: “Our typical client base comprises SMEs which are headed by directors who have decided to outsource all their HR functions to us, rather than carry the considerable cost associated with having their own in-house HR department.

“Our clients work in many different sectors, but in recent months we have been seen an increase in the number of enquiries received from pharmaceutical, construction and engineering companies.

“However, we are acutely aware of the fact that there are hundreds of small firms who currently handle their own HR functions, although they may choose to outsource these to us at some point in the future.

“They still need to access HR documents and advice to ensure they are up-to-date with ever-changing employment legislation.”

Fellow director Suzanne Tricker said: “That is why we are proud to have created an information hub and a selection of online membership packages (free, silver and gold), which provide advice and downloadable documents, that cover all the different aspects of managing people and firms can choose those which suit their individual needs.”
