Severe delays on M1 in Notts after collision

The M1 in Nottinghamshire has two lanes closed southbound between J25 (A52) and J24A (A50) due to a traffic collision.

Highways England says the carriageway was completely blocked initially, however Nottinghamshire Police and Highways England Traffic Officers are now at scene, and have managed to reopen a lane past the scene. There are currently delays of more than 60 minutes on approach to these lane closures.

Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time, and consider an alternative route if possible.
