RIBA award-winning Nottingham office space up for grabs

Office space designed by Nottingham architects Marsh:Grochowski is up for rent.

The Icon building The Ropewalk in Nottingham is a three storey, self-contained office space.

Hannah Owens of Rex Gooding commercial explained: “Given the recent announcements in the Budget of the VAT threshold being frozen at £85,000 for at least two years this could be an ideal time to look at upsizing. This property currently benefits from exemption under small business rates relief so could be an ideal space for a growing start up.”

The building which was constructed in 2008 and won a RIBA East Midlands award.

Owner Bill Hammond explains: “The building was originally a one storey boiler room, but we redeveloped it nearly ten years ago along with the insightful minds of Marsh Grochowski architects into the stunning building that it is today. The design is inspired by Japanese schemes, incorporating angles and a highly unique angled exterior which is zinc clad – a design reference which was acknowledged by RIBA.”

Owens added: “The building has been occupied since shortly after its construction so this is indeed a very rare opportunity to snap up a unique and creative office space that will give any business’ clients the wow factor when they visit.

“We believe it would ideally be suited to a small business or that seeking a second site, perhaps someone in the creative industries due to the design-led architecture of the building or even medical professionals who would like to take a floor on a consulting basis.”
