Snow business like home for BioCity businesses

The local business community is used to hearing about BioCity’s latest developments at its various locations across the UK, most recently with regards its new £30m Discovery Building in Nottingham.

However, it seems when not developing innovative new products and services in life sciences, its 200 plus businesses, based across the UK have some talents we were not quite so aware of: gingerbread house construction.

Vying for the coveted title, ‘Ultimate BioCity Site Wide Gingerbread Champion 2017’, the businesses had entered the competition by tagging @BioCity and #myhome to be in with a chance of winning a magnum of Moet and eternal glory.

Gemma Cann, head of marketing said: “We thought we’d get the party season going across our sites with a bit of festive fun and suspected we had a few very competitive businesses in the BioCity family but it is fair to say this has amazed us all.

“Some of the designs are absolutely incredible and the effort people have gone to is just fantastic. BioCity’s success is built on the concept of a thriving community sharing ideas, resources and expertise and clearly, those same traits are essential in any gingerbread based building project too. Hats off to everyone for taking part, it has been a fantastic year for BioCity and this really is the icing on the cake.”
