“Significant” Nottingham development site comes to market

A substantial piece of development land which could be used as for a school, hotel or care home has come to the market.

On behalf of Midlands Land Portfolio, Savills, jointly with Cheetham & Mortimer, has been instructed to market the land at Teal Close in Nottingham.

The land includes roadside plots ranging in size from 1 to 4.4 acres (0.40 – 1.78 hectares), which can accommodate a number of retail and leisure uses of up to 30,000 sq ft (2,800 sq m). A further 16.8 acres (6.8 hectares) of employment land is also available which, says Savills, subject to planning, is suitable for other potential ancillary uses including a primary school, local centre, care home, hotel and public open space.

Victor Ktori, head of office at Savills Nottingham, said: “This is a rare opportunity to purchase a sizeable plot of land in a well-connected part of Nottingham. Located adjacent to a residential development of up to 830 homes, the commercial element of the scheme will generate significant footfall as a result. For this reason we expect to receive a number of enquiries from interested parties looking to take advantage of the sites considerable potential.”
