Some 50 jobs could be created at a new residential care home in Nottingham.

Medina wants to build a 38,254 sq ft facility, which will include 82 bedrooms, on the site of the former Clifton Bridge pub in the Silverdale area of the city.

The proposed name of the development is Wilford View Care Home. Architects on the scheme are Rayner Davies.

A planning statement submitted to Nottingham City Council reads: “The proposed scheme will create a high quality building which is respectful of its setting and will make a positive contribution to the area.”
