Derby’s former Cattle Market sold to motor dealership

The former Cattle Market site

Derby’s Cattle Market on the West Meadows Industrial Estate has been sold to Inchcape, the national motor dealership firm.

Inchcape will now look to develop the site in the coming year as a car showroom.

Councillor Baggy Shanker, Cabinet Member for Finance and Governance said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to complete the sale of the former market to Inchape. The capital receipt generated from the sale of this site will support the Council’s capital programme a major element of which is the funding of the construction of a new swimming pool at Moorways.”

Agent on the deal was Cushman & Wakefield.
